ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS
The following conditions in Annex 1 are mandatory under the provisions of the Licensing Act 2003:
1. Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied:
(a) At any time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the
premises licence, or
(b) At any time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his/her personal licence is suspended
2. Every sale or supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.
ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
The following conditions in Annex 2 are conditions consistent with the operating schedule submitted by the applicant within the application. These will include, where required, existing expressed conditions and embedded restrictions contained within existing authorisations and enactments as specified by the Secretary of State, in accordance with Schedule 8(6) of the Licensing Act 2003:
1. No person under the age of 14 shall be in the bar of the licensed premises during the permitted hours, unless one of the following applies:
a. He is the child of the holder of the premises licence
b. He resides in the premises, but is not employed there
c. He is in the bar solely for the purpose of passing to or from some part of the premises which is not a bar and to or from which there is no other convenient means of access or egress
d. The bar is in railway refreshment rooms or other premises constructed, fitted and intended to be used bona fide for any purpose to which the holding of a premises licence is ancillary
2. External and security lighting shall be installed on the licensed premises. (Note: It may be prudent for the licence-holder to liaise with the local Environmental Health Officer to ensure that any lighting used minimises the risk of public nuisance).
3. Escape routes and exits shall be clearly identified and kept free from obstruction.
4. Children shall not be permitted on the licensed premises unless they are accompanied by a responsible adult.
5. There shall be no children on the licensed premises after 21:30hrs unless they are attending a function and accompanied by a responsible adult.
6. Drug prevention measures shall be operated on the licensed premises and relevant signage displayed.
7. A selection of non-alcoholic drinks shall be available for purchase on the licensed premises.
8. Staff on duty shall take all reasonable steps to assist with customer departure, including requesting that they leave the area quietly.
9. Use of external areas for the consumption of alcohol shall be limited to 23:30hrs on all occasions.
