ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS
The following conditions in Annex 1 are mandatory under the provisions of the Licensing Act 2003:
1.1 Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied:
(a) At any time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence, or
(b) At any time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his/her personal licence is suspended.
1.2 Every sale or supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.
1.3 (a) The premises licence holder or club premises certificate holder shall ensure that an age verification policy applies to the premises in relation to the sale or supply of alcohol.
(b) The policy must require individuals who appear to the responsible person to be under 18 years of age (or such older age as may be specified in the policy) to produce on request, before being served alcohol, identification bearing their photograph, date of birth and a holographic mark.
ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
The following conditions in Annex 2 are conditions consistent with the operating schedule submitted by the licence holder within the application:
2.1 The following alcohol items shall NOT be sold from the licensed premises:
(a) beer (including lager) or cider in single cans;
(b) 2 litre (or larger volume) bottles of cider;
(c) alcoholic spirits of any description; and
(d) beer (including lager) or cider with an alcoholic strength by volume of 5.5 % or greater.
2.2 The premises licence holder shall install and maintain a CCTV system on the licensed premises that shall operate at all times whilst licensable activities are taking place. The CCTV system shall incorporate a recording facility with any recording to be retained and stored in a suitable and secure manner for a minimum period of 31 (thirty-one) days. Recordings shall be made available to the Police or Licensing Authority for inspection upon request, subject to compliance with Data Protection legislation.
2.3 The premises licence holder shall ensure that a suitable and sufficient policy is implemented at the licensed premises to reduce the risk of public nuisance being caused by deliveries and waste disposal.
2.4 A ‘Challenge 25’ (or equivalent) proof of age scheme shall be operated at the licensed premises, to ensure that persons appearing to be under the age of 25 years shall be asked to produce a valid form of photographic identity - such as passport, driving licence or PASS accredited proof of age card - when attempting to purchase alcohol. All staff shall be trained not less than once every six months on implementation and operation of the scheme, with written training records to be kept of all training and refresher training.
2.5 Signage shall be displayed and maintained prominently at the licensed premises in relation to the ‘Challenge 25’ (or equivalent) scheme.
2.6 A refusals register shall be operated and maintained at the licensed premises, with written records to be kept in relation to all refused sales. A responsible person shall check and sign the refusals register on a weekly basis.
