ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS
The following conditions in Annex 1 are mandatory under the provisions of the Licensing Act 2003:
1. Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied:
(a) At any time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the
premises licence, or
(b) At any time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his/her personal licence is suspended
2. Every sale or supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.
ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
The following conditions in Annex 2 are conditions consistent with the operating schedule submitted by the applicant within the application:
1. Staff shall receive suitable training in accordance with the licence holders policies and procedures.
2. A proof of age scheme / request for photographic identity documents shall be operated to assist in prevention of underage sales.
3. The licence holder shall participate in a local Pubwatch scheme (or similar) where such a scheme operates within the locality of the licensed premises.
4. Plastic or toughened glasses shall be used during beer festivals taking place in external areas of the premises.
5. Litter bins shall be provided and litter shall be collected and managed.
6. All deliveries shall be outside of the opening times authorised by the premises licence (wherever this is practicable).
7. External lighting and security lighting shall be provided to the licensed premises. (Note: It may be prudent for the licence-holder to liaise with the local Environmental Health Office to ensure that any lighting does not cause public nuisance).
8. There shall be no irresponsible drinks promotions.
9. Customer arrival and departure shall be managed by staff on duty at the licensed premises.
10. Children in dining areas shall be accompanied by a responsible adult on all occasions.
11. Children shall not be permitted in bar areas during entertainment.
12. No children under 16 years old shall be permitted in bar areas after 21:00hrs.
13. The volume control of any recorded music or amplification equipment being used at the licensed premises shall be under the direct control of the designated premises supervisor (DPS), or another responsible individual nominated by the DPS, with provision made for the sound to be turned down at the direct request of an authorised officer of the Local Authority or Police.
14. Signage shall be prominently displayed and maintained on the licensed premises requesting that patrons leave the premises quietly and with consideration to the rights of neighbouring properties. This signage shall include a request that patrons minimise any noise caused by vehicles leaving the vicinity of the premises.
15. Doors and windows shall be kept closed (except for access or egress) during any performance of live or recorded music.
16. The premises management shall ensure that during the final hour of opening, any music being played is discernibly quieter.
17. The premises management shall take all reasonable steps to ensure that customers do not take opened bottles or glasses off the licensed premises.
18. All use of outdoors areas of the licensed premises being used for the consumption of alcohol or food shall cease no later than 23:20hrs.
ANNEX 3 - CONDITIONS ATTACHED AFTER A HEARING BY THE LICENSING AUTHORITY
1. There shall be no late night refreshment (hot food or hot drink between 23:00hrs and 05:00hrs) provided for consumption off the licensed premises.
