Annex 1 - Mandatory conditions
General condition:
(1) No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence:
(a) at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the
premises licence; or
(b) at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal
licence or his personal licence is suspended.
(2) Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a
person who holds a personal licence.
General condition:
In force from 1 October 2010
(1) The Premises Licence Holder or Club Premises Certificate Holder shall ensure that
an age policy applies to the premises in relation to the sale or supply of alcohol.
(2) The policy must require individuals who appear to the responsible person to be
under 18 years of age (or such older age as specified in the policy) produce on request,
before being served alcohol, identification bearing their photograph, date of birth and a
holographic mark.
Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the operating schedule
Alcohol sales (for consumption off the premises) at the licensed premises shall be part of a
convenience store operation and not the sole or main purpose of the business.
The premises licence holder shall ensure that any appropriate and proportionate advice or
steps to promote the licensing objectives offered by the Licensing Authority or Responsible
Authorities is complied with as soon as reasonable practicable.
Notices shall be prominently displayed and maintained on the licensed premises advising
customers to not drop litter or waste and to leave the premises and the vicinity quietly and
with consideration to the needs of neighbouring properties.
There shall be no adult entertainment or services, activities, other entertainment or matters
ancillary to the use of the premises that may give concern in respect of children.
The premises licence holder shall install and maintain a CCTV system on the licensed
premises that shall operate at all times whilst licensable activities are taking place. The
CCTV system shall incorporate a recording facility with any recording to be retained and
stored in a suitable and secure manner for a minimum period of 30 (thirty) days. Recordings
shall be made available to the Police or Licensing Authority for inspection upon request,
subject to compliance with data protection legislation.
The premises licence holder/designated premises supervisor (DPS) shall ensure that any
incidents occurring at the premises which may undermine the prevention of crime and
disorder objective are reported promptly to the Police and any remedial
recommendations/steps offered by the Police followed.
Any children on, or in the immediate vicinity of, the licensed premises, who are causing a
nuisance, disturbance or anti-social behaviour, shall not be served at the convenience store.
