Annex 1 - Mandatory conditions
General condition:
In force from 1 October 2010
(1) The Premises Licence Holder or Club Premises Certificate Holder shall ensure that
an age policy applies to the premises in relation to the sale or supply of alcohol.
(2) The policy must require individuals who appear to the responsible person to be
under 18 years of age (or such older age as specified in the policy) produce on request,
before being served alcohol, identification bearing their photograph, date of birth and a
holographic mark.
General condition:
(1) No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence:
(a) at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the
premises licence; or
(b) at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal
licence or his personal licence is suspended.
(2) Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a
person who holds a personal licence.
Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the operating schedule
General
The premises will be constructed in accordance with drawing No. BM055 as
served with the application (and attached to the premises licence as Annex 4) or in the case
of alteration to those plans any further plans served on the Responsible Authorities and
Licensing Authority prior to completion of the premises. It should be noted that any alteration
to the plan attached as Annex 4 may require a variation to the licence, depending on specific
changes proposed.
All staff engaged in the sale of alcohol shall be trained in accordance with the premises
licence holder’s training procedures, and this shall include matters relevant to promotion
of licensing objectives.
The Prevention of crime and disorder
All staff shall receive suitable training (including refresher training) in relation to the
proof of age "Task 25" proof of age scheme to be applied on the premises. The
following forms of identification shall be acceptable evidence of age; photo driving
licence, passport, proof of age standards scheme (PASS) card and any other locally or
nationally approved form of identification.
CCTV shall be provided on the premises and shall be kept in good working order.
All checkout operators shall operate a refusal log.
Public safety
The premises licence holders shall undertake ongoing risk assessments in order to
comply with Health & Safety legislation and promote public safety.
The protection of children from harm
Till prompts shall be used on the licensed premises to alert till operators to the sale of
age restricted products.
