Annex 1 - Mandatory conditions
General condition:
(1) No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence-
(a) at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the
premises licence, or
(b) at time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence
or his personal licence is suspended.
(2) Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a
person who holds a personal licence.
General condition:
In force from 1 October 2010
(1) The Premises Licence Holder or Club Premises Certificate Holder shall ensure that
an age policy applies to the premises in relation to the sale or supply of alcohol.
(2) The policy must require individuals who appear to the responsible person to be
under 18 years of age (or such older age as specified in the policy) produce on request,
before being served alcohol, identification bearing their photograph, date of birth and a
holographic mark.
Annex 2- Conditions consistent with the Operating schedule
CCTV shall be installed providing good image quality and covering all internal areas of the licensed premises to which the public have access, together with all entrances and exits. Images shall be retained for a minimum period of 31 days. It should be noted that any retention, use or disclosure of personal information captured on CCTV must be carried out in line with data protection principles.
The premise licence holder shall ensure that all members of staff are trained in the operation of the CCTV equipment.
An instore accident book shall be in operation to record any accident/injury incurred on the premises. This document shall be retained for inspection by the store for a period of three years.
The premise licence holder shall ensure all members of staff are trained in drug awareness including training on the drugs policy applicable to the premises
.
All staff shall be trained in the prevention of sales of alcohol to underage or drunken persons and a record of such training shall be retained at the premises and made available to the Police and an authorised officer of the Licensing Authority on demand.
A refusals book shall be operated and maintained on the licensed premises to record all instances of refused sales of alcohol and which shall be made available to the Police and an authorised officer of the Licensing Authority on demand.
The premises licence holder shall adopt a ‘Challenge 21’ proof of age scheme. The premises licence holder shall operate a requirement for the production of a passport, UK photocard driving licence or PASS accredited photocard, where the individual requesting the supply of alcohol appears to be under the age of 21.
