Annex 1- Mandatory Conditions
(1) The admission of children to the exhibition of any film is to be restricted in accordance with this section.
(2) Where the film classification body is specified in the licence, unless subsection
(3)(b) applies, admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by that body.
(3) Where:
(a) the film classification body is not specified in the licence, or
(b) the relevant licensing authority has notified the holder of the licence that this subsection applies to the film in question, admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by that licensing authority.
(4) In this section:
"children" means persons aged under 18; and
"film classification body" means the person or persons designated as the authority under section 4 of the Video Recordings Act 1984 (c. 39) (authority to determine suitability of video works for classification).
Annex 2 - Conditions Consistent with the Operating Schedule
The premise licence holder shall ensure that the Hire Agreement includes clauses to prevent crime and disorder.
The prevention of crime and disorder
The premises licence holder shall ensure the exterior of the premises are adequately illuminated during the hours of darkness, whilst the premises are being used for licensable activities
The premises licence holder shall ensure that adequate provision is made for the collection and disposal of waste and litter at the licensed premises
The premise licence holder shall ensure that the hire conditions include that the hirer is responsible individual.
Public safety
All appliances and emergency lights shall be checked and serviced regularly and all portable electrical equipment shall be inspected and PAT tested annually.
The premise licence holder shall maintain and mark all external escape routes and exits.
The premises licence holder shall ensure that notices detailing the action to be taken in the event of fire or other emergencies, including how the fire service should be summoned, are prominently displayed and protected from damage and deterioration. The fire service shall be called at once to any outbreak of fire, however slight, and the details legibly recorded in a fire log-book.
The premises licence holder shall ensure that an adequate supply of first aid materials shall be kept on the licensed premises whilst licensable activities are taking place.
The premise licence holder shall maintain and display Public Liability Insurance.
The prevention of public nuisance
The premises licence holder shall ensure that all hirers as required by the hiring agreement shall cease the playing of Live or Recorded music in outdoor areas by 23.00.
Signage shall be clearly and prominently displayed at all entrance and exit points on the licensed premises, requesting patrons to minimise noise (both verbal and vehicular) when leaving, in consideration of the needs of local residents.
The protection of children from harm
The admission of children to the exhibition of any film shall be restricted in accordance with the film classification awarded by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC).
The premise licence holder shall ensure that children only view age appropriate films.
