Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the operating schedule
General
The proprietor continues to comply with all Health and Safety requirements.
The prevention of crime and disorder
CCTV equipment shall be installed and maintained at all times. Recordings shall be retained
for 4 weeks and be made available to the police and local authority upon request. Signs
shall be displayed to inform people that CCTV is in operation.
The prevention of public nuisance
Street outside the premises is cleaned by staff after closing time.
Clear and legible notices will be prominently displayed to remind customers to leave quietly
and have regard to neighbours.
Public safety
Clear and prominent notices shall be displayed requesting customers not to congregate
outside the premises.
Annex 3 - Conditions attached after a hearing by the licensing authority
1. The applicant is to install at least two signs within the premises near the entry
and exit points asking patrons to leave quietly and respect local residents
2. The applicant is to provide at least two litter bins (of the size equivalent to the
black litter bins in the High Street where the premises are situated) outside of
the premises for use by patrons and the applicant is to take in these litter bins
at the close of business.
3. The applicant is to place an identifying mark or wording on all packaging used in
the provision of late night refreshment to indicate the name and address of the
applicant.
4. The applicant is to clear litter from the frontage of the premises every night
(provided that the business is open for trading on that night) including litter in the
vicinity of the premises that obviously emanates from the applicant's business.
5. The applicant is to arrange for its staff to engage in litter patrol on Friday and
Saturday night after the close of business. The litter patrol is to clear all litter
from the front of the premises to a width equivalent to the width of the premises
and width of the premises either side of the applicant's premises and out as far
as the roadway.
6. The applicant is to keep a written record of litter patrols completed in the form
of a chart recording the time, date and the person who completed the litter
patrol. The applicant is required to produce the record of litter patrols to the
Licensing authority or the Police on demand.
The following condition was proposed by Suffolk Constabulary and agreed by the
applicant:
1. That a CCTV system of the industrial standards is installed in the premises.
2. That any CCTV system is correctly maintained.
3. That tapes/discs are retained for 28 days and available on request to the Police.
